Who we are
SolanaProject.site is an independent editorial website that publishes reviews, comparisons, and guides for the online Solana casino market. We are not a casino operator, payment processor, or financial services provider.
For the purposes of GDPR and equivalent data protection legislation, SolanaProject.site acts as the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Enquiries about data processing can be directed to legal@solanaproject.site.
What data we collect
We collect only what we need to operate this publication and understand how it is used.
| Data type | What it includes | How it is collected | Required? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Usage data | Pages visited, time on page, referrer URL, device type, browser, approximate country | Analytics tools (Google Analytics or Plausible) | Optional — requires consent |
| Contact data | Name and email address submitted through our contact form | Contact form submission | Only if you contact us |
| Comment data | Name, email, website URL, and comment text if you use the WordPress commenting system | Comment form submission | Only if you leave a comment |
| Technical data | IP address, session identifiers, cache headers | Web server and CDN logs | Automatic — necessary for server operation |
| Cookie data | Preference cookies, analytics cookies, affiliate click identifiers | Browser cookie storage | Consent-dependent — see section 4 |
We do not collect financial information, government identification, or special category personal data as defined under GDPR Article 9.
Why we collect it and the legal basis
Under GDPR, every processing activity requires a documented lawful basis. The table below maps each purpose to its basis.
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Website operation and security | Technical data, IP address | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Understanding how our content is used | Usage data, analytics | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Responding to contact enquiries | Contact data | Legitimate interest / performance of a task (Art. 6(1)(b)(f)) |
| Comment moderation and display | Comment data | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Affiliate revenue tracking | Click identifiers, affiliate cookies | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
We do not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell personal data to any third party under any circumstances.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We use four categories. Two are required for the site to function. Two require your consent and can be declined without affecting your ability to read our content.
- Functional cookies (required) — Session management, CSRF protection, and WordPress login state. These cannot be disabled without breaking basic site functionality.
- Security cookies (required) — Rate-limiting and bot detection handled by our CDN infrastructure. These are set at the server level and are not accessible or controllable from the browser.
- Analytics cookies (optional — requires consent) — Page view tracking and referral source data used to understand which content is most useful to readers. We use Google Analytics or Plausible. You can decline these without any loss of site functionality.
- Affiliate cookies (optional — requires consent) — Click identifiers that record whether a referral from our site resulted in a casino registration. These are set when you click an outbound affiliate link. Declining them means we cannot attribute commissions from your visits, but it does not affect your access to any platform.
You can manage cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings or the consent banner displayed on your first visit. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Affiliate links and commercial relationships
SolanaProject.site earns commissions when readers use affiliate links on this site to register at casino platforms. This is our primary revenue model, and we disclose it openly on every relevant page.
When you click an affiliate link, a tracking parameter is typically set by the destination platform or our affiliate network. This tells the casino that your visit came from our site. We receive a commission only if you subsequently register and deposit. We do not receive your personal data from the casino as part of this process.
Affiliate relationships do not influence editorial rankings or review content. If you prefer to visit a casino without an affiliate identifier, copy the domain name and navigate to it directly in your browser.
Third-party services we use
We use a small number of third-party tools to operate this publication. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on its own infrastructure.
| Service | Purpose | Data shared with them |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics (or Plausible) | Page view analytics | Anonymized usage data |
| WordPress (self-hosted) | CMS platform | Comment and account data where applicable |
| Cloudflare | CDN, DDoS protection, DNS | IP address and request metadata |
| Affiliate network(s) | Commission tracking on outbound links | Click identifiers — no personal data |
| Contact form plugin | Processing contact form submissions | Name and email address submitted by you |
We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads remarketing tags, or any behavioral advertising technology. Data is not transferred outside the EEA or UK to countries without adequate data protection unless standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards are in place.
How long we keep your data
We hold personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by applicable law.
- Contact form submissions are retained for 12 months from receipt, then deleted unless ongoing correspondence requires a longer period.
- Comments are retained as part of the published page unless you request deletion. Published comments are public by nature — if you want a comment removed, contact us at editorial@solanaproject.site.
- Analytics data is held for 14 months in Google Analytics, or managed per Plausible’s privacy-by-design model if that is in use. Raw IP addresses in server logs are deleted after 30 days.
- Affiliate click data is managed by the respective affiliate network per their own retention policies, typically 90–180 days.
Your rights
If you are located in the EU, UK, California (CCPA), or a jurisdiction with comparable privacy legislation, the following rights apply to your personal data. Submit requests to legal@solanaproject.site. We respond within 30 calendar days and confirm receipt within 3 working days.
- Right to access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and information on how it is processed.
- Right to rectification — Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data without undue delay.
- Right to erasure — Request deletion of your personal data where the original purpose no longer applies or consent has been withdrawn.
- Right to restrict processing — Ask us to pause processing while a rectification or erasure request is being assessed.
- Right to data portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format where processing is consent-based.
- Right to object — Object to processing based on legitimate interest, including any direct marketing activity.
- Right to withdraw consent — Withdraw previously given consent for analytics or affiliate cookies at any time without penalty or loss of access.
- Right to complain — Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated. This right is unconditional and does not require you to contact us first.
Age restrictions and minors
SolanaProject.site publishes content about online gambling. This content is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over, or the minimum legal gambling age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has submitted personal data through this site, that data will be deleted promptly. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, please notify us at legal@solanaproject.site.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our data practices change in a meaningful way. Minor editorial clarifications do not trigger a new effective date. Material changes — such as adding a new third-party service or altering our legal basis for processing — are reflected in an updated effective date at the top of this page.
Continued use of the site after a material update constitutes acknowledgement of the revised terms. Where a change affects consent-based preferences, we will seek fresh consent through the cookie banner or direct notification where possible.
